Log on's
To use the editing software Premiere pro we had to log on to a Mac in 'macintosh' and we log into it by putting 'media e'. The reason why it's called media e is because that's the block we do media Btec in and it doesn't confuse us with other usedrs from other groups.

SD Card
The next step we have to do is put the SD card into the Mac where it will autimatically appear on the screen. You then open it up and there will be a folder in there called 'private'. You then copy this file onto the Mac by right clicking on 'private' and a list will come up, then you press on 'copy private'.
Where projects and files are
We then go to 'Macintosh' where the private file was saved in. All the files get saved ino Macintosh. At first we looked into the 'media e archive' but we were then told to avoid that folder as much as possible.
Renaming
We then paste the 'Private' folder into macintosh and rename it Guys, Lucias and Laurens advertising project.
Bins
Once we have our private folder renamed we then open Premiere Pro and open the project. The Bins are the folders where we keep all our footage. So when we done a quick edit we put all the shots that we would need into a new bin that we created. It also helps keep everything organised. Like you could have a bin for sound, footage, after effects and text.
Paths
Paths are important. When you put your memory stick into the Mac and want to use it for your footage, you have to make sure you save it in Macintosh. This is so you have paths to follow it when you need to find it to put it into your bins. For example if you would put a piece of music which is on your memory stick straight onto Premiere Pro it wouldn't work because it has no idea where it came from.

Your point about paths is wrong. Ask me to explain. Youa re showing a picture of a PRESET, not a PATH. Also you need to say more about how the bins in the project organise your material. I'll explain.
